J. Town reveals he makes money than any ghanaian acts with performances outside

J.Town reveals he makes more money than any Ghanaian with performances outside Ghana, and Ghanaians acts are afraid to collaborate with him

J-TownRapper and Producer, Stefan Menson known in showbiz life as J.Town was on the EFGH show where he revealed why he doesn’t get nominations in the various award schemes in Ghana, why he doesn’t normally collaborate with other artiste among others interesting revelations.
On nominations in the various award schemes in Ghana, he wittingly remarked that it is only in Ghana that you have to fill forms, submit your record and other stuffs before your record can be considered for nomination. Also, when asked whether he fought/had a misunderstanding with any artiste, he disclosed, ”I was once supposed to play a show outside Ghana and a fellow artiste who was also on the bill got angry as to why I, J.town should be paid more money than him because back home, he is more popular than me. I got pissed and I made sure I dealt with him accordingly”.
He continued, ‘Outside Ghana, I can say on authority that I receive more money than any other artiste when I play shows over there.”
On why he doesn’t normally collaborate with other artistes, he said, ”I don’t normally collaborate with other acts because they are afraid that I will ‘murder or kill’ them on the joint, they are just afraid that I will outperform them.”
He further disclosed that he will arrange studio sessions with them but when the time is due, they don’t honour it. He would chase them with calls and do everything possible he can in other to have them on the track but to no avail. J.Town remains one of the most respected Hiphop artists in Ghana. With most other artiste switching to hiplife and other genres for the sake of mass appeal, J.town continues to be real with his fans dropping banging hiphop joints back to back.
He also debunked rumours that misunderstandings among others contributed to the breakdown of the Skillionz group. He disclosed that they all just decided to go their separate ways and that the members of the group are still making it big in their respective ways. He advised the younger folks to be passionate about their work so that they don’t end up being a-one-hit-maker and also, they should surround themselves with the right people.

According to a statement signed by the Minister of Education, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyeman, ‘’acting on the advice of the Inter-Ministerial Team on the Ebola viral disease, government has decided that the commencement of the 2014/2015 academic year be postponed by at least two weeks’’.
The statement further noted that the postponement is to ensure that the ‘’necessary screening and preparedness measures’’ are put in place at the various campuses to tackle any threats of Ebola.

The communiqué which was addressed to all Rectors, Vice Chancellors and principals requested that all comply with the directive.
The inter-ministerial committee was set up to institute measures to secure the country’s borders against persons who may enter country carrying the virus and also prepare for a possible outbreak.

Two Producers Fight Over “Castro Amenihunu” Movie With One Threatening To Take Legal Action

castro movie 220x300 Two Producers Fight Over Castro Amenihunu Movie With One Threatening To Take Legal Action
Two brothers, both movie producers, are at war over the production of a movie, ‘Castro Amenihunu’ with one threatening to take legal action against the other.
A poster of the movie, suspected to be based on the disappearance of hiplife musician Castro, born Theophilus Tagoe, has been circulating on social media for some time now.
Castro and his female companion, Janet Bandu went missing while jet skiing in the waters of Ada on Sunday, July 6, 2014.
The yet-to-be-released movie has received a lot flak from critics who say the movie is in bad taste.
Samuel Odame Jnr, whose contact details are on the movie poster, speaking on Rhythmz A-Z on Joy FM with Mamavi Owusu Aboagye Saturday said “I never in any way produced any movie like ‘’Castro Amenehunu’.”
According to him, “Odame World Film Productions is really the name of my production house but I never in any way [or] by any chance give anyone [the right] to produce a movie in the name of my production house, put my contact details on it but later on I got to realise that it’s my younger brother in Kumasi…who produced that movie.”
Samuel Odame Jnr revealed that, his brother, Douglas Odame, “did not inform me that he will be using the name of my production house for that matter I am going to sue him.”
“I don’t know what came into my brother’s mind to do that without my consent so I don’t really care whether he is my brother or not…I have sued him and very soon he will be brought before the law.”
Asked about background in movie production, Samuel Odame Jnr said he studied movie production in India and he is solely into Hindi movies.
He revealed that, he started his production house in 2009 and will be releasing some of his movies later this year.
Douglas Odame also speaking on the matter on Rhythmz A-Z admitted that he has produced a movie with the title ‘Castro Amanihunu’ but said he is yet to release it.
He agreed Samuel Odame is his brother but denied using his production house to produce any movie.
He clarified that, his production house is Odame Films and not Odame World Film Productions.
Douglas said due to the unfortunate developments and allegations after the poster of the movie leaked online, he did not want to go into details of the storyline of the ‘Castro Amanihunu’ movie.
Reacting to criticisms that the movie may touch on sensitive nerves considering the unfortunate development of Castro’s disappearance, Douglas retorted that the hiplife musician is not the only person by name Castro and that one of his friends even owns a production outfit by name Castro Productions.

Olamide May Spend 10 Years In Prison

President Goodluck Jonathan signed the new anti-gay act into law, there have been reactions from both within and outside Nigeria.
While some have thrown their weights behind it, others have continued to criticise it, claiming the President should be more interested in other pressing issues than homosexuality, which the Western world has already embraced.
According to the act, anyone involved in homosexual risks 10 to 14 years jail term.

How Liberian, Patrick Sawyer URINATED On Health Workers when they told him he had Ebola

How Liberian, Patrick Sawyer URINATED On Health Workers when they told him he had Ebola

Mr. Sawyer is said to have had an “indiscipline” encounter with nurses and health workers at the First Consultants Hospitalin Obalende where he was being treated.
According to the report, Mr. Sawyer was asked if he had come into contact with anyone who had the virus but he answered in the negative.
Doctors at the hospital decided to test him anyway and when they told him he had Ebola, he allegedly went into a rage and urinated on the health workers attending to him.
FrontPage Africa reports:
“…Upon being told he had Ebola, Mr. Sawyer went into a rage, denying and objecting to the opinion of the medical experts. “He was so adamant and difficult that he took the tubes from his body and took off his pants and urinated on the health workers, forcing them to flee.”
The hospital would later report that it resisted immense pressure to let out Sawyer from its hospital against the insistence from some higher-ups and conference organizers that he had a key role to play at the ECOWAS convention in Calabar, the Cross River State capital.
In fact, FrontPageAfrica has been informed that officials in Monrovia were in negotiations with ECOWAS to have Sawyer flown back to Liberia.
A text message in possession of FrontPageAfrica from the ECOWAS Ambassador in Liberia, responding to a senior GoL official reads: Your Excellency, the disease control department of the Federal Ministry of Health just contacted me through the hospital now, insisting that Mr. Sawyer be evacuated for now. Pls advise urgently.”
FrontPageAfrica has now learnt that Sawyer exhibited similar indiscipline behavior during his sister’s stay at the Catholic Hospital in Monrovia where she was taken because he noticed she was bleeding profusely and was later found to be a victim of Ebola.
Sawyer was seen with blood on his clothing after his sister’s death and had earlier demanded that she be placed in a private room.
President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf cited indiscipline and disrespect as a key reason why Sawyer contracted the Ebola virus. She said his failure to heed medical advice put the lives of other residents across the nation’s border at risk.
As one of the nurses who treated Sawyer died today, fears are currently being fanned in the country with some people suggesting that he might have knowingly spread the disease.
The Nigerian Minister of Health, Onyebuchi Chukwu has confirmed 7 cases of the disease and has assured that urgent measures are being put in place to ensure that the virus does not spread further.

Meet Man Who Inserted Acid On His Face To Look Like Michael Jackson And Still Trying More

Meet Man Who Inserted Acid On His Face To Look Like Michael Jackson And Still Trying More

A Michael Jackson impersonator has poured acid on his skin to make him look lighter. Antonio Gleidson Rodrigues, 32 has spent around £2,000 on a series of cosmetic procedures and has even had rhinoplasty to imitate his late idol’s botched nose job.
Each day he spends around four hours rehearsing his dance moves and one and a half hours applying make up tomake sure fellow fans in his hometown of Fortalenza continue to scream for a selfie or an autograph.
Self-proclaimed number one Michael Jackson impersonator in Brazil Gleidson Jackson, as he likes to be known, said: “In 2009 I went into the operating theatre and had my nasal septum corrected which allowed me to reach the higher notes.
“I wasn’t able to reach notes like Michael before but after surgery I can now sing some notes in falsetto.”
After his first surgery Gleidson had hyaluronic acid injected into his face, which had a whitening effect and botox injections to enhance the area under his eyes.
He also had surgery to close the gaps in his teeth and had his eyebrows tattooed, but there’s even more to come, he insists.
“If I can afford it in the future, I am thinking of working on my cheekbones so I can get rid of the wrinkles along my mouth – I also want to have my eyebrows arched.
“I would like to have my forehead tattooed and have my nose made even slimmer”, he said.
